The “Großeiberhof” is a real farm with cattle, cows, calves, chickens, horses, dogs. It is located in the small village of Hocha in the middle of the beautiful Schwarzach valley. We harvest the fodder for our animals from around 20 hectares of fields and meadows. Since 2001 we have been managing our farm organically according to the strict Bioland guidelines. This means above all the renunciation of artificial fertilizers and chemical plant protection. In addition, the animals are kept in a particularly species-appropriate manner. Thanks to photovoltaics, solar panels and wood heating, a large part of the energy we consume is also produced “ecologically” ourselves.
The “heart” of the farm are the cattle or cows. Thanks to species-appropriate husbandry and feeding, they feel really comfortable with us. They grow amazingly fast and incidentally produce the natural fertilizer for the fields and meadows.
About 100 chickens cluck and scratch in the meadow behind the Großeiberhof. In their mobile chicken hotel they are doing well all around. As a “thank you” we get fresh eggs of the highest quality every day.
In our small farm store you get daily fresh the products of our organic farm as well as other specialties from the region. Eggs, potatoes, meat, honey…
