We do our best to act as sustainably and environmentally conscious as possible.
Since 2001, we have been managing our farm organically according to Bioland guidelines. This means that we do not use artificial fertilisers or pesticides. We keep our animals as species-appropriate as possible. We farm close to nature and are constantly looking for even better methods. Keywords for this are agroforestry, permaculture, mixed culture, mob grazing and market gardening.
The new hotel was completely integrated into existing structures. The hotel building was originally the cowshed with hayloft. The building fabric was largely preserved and reused as much as possible. The Hofstubn is located in the former pigsty – but you can no longer smell it today.
Furthermore...
High-quality and regional materials were used as much as possible in the construction. The wood comes from local tree species and partly even from our own forest.
The heat for the heating and hot water comes from our modern wood chip heating system. We only use regional wood residues for heating. In summer, part of the heat also comes from our solar system.
Most of our electricity comes from our photovoltaic systems. Of course, we only buy green electricity.
